The appropriate blasting medium

The high-performance products Zirblast®, Zirshot® and Microblast® are characterised by the unvaryingly high quality of their shape, size and surface smoothness. Their exceptional elasticity combined with very high shape retention increases their impact energy. The highest possible mechanical resilience ensures minimal consumption. Our ceramic blasting media can be used in shot blasting machines, compressed air systems, injector systems and wheel blasting systems.

Your benefits from the use of our products

  • Short blasting times
  • Freedom from corrosion
  • No contamination or damage to the blasted material
  • Higher and reproducible blasting performance due to exceptional shape retention
  • Significantly extended durability due to high fatigue strength
  • Minimised machine wear due to surface smoothness and low friction of the blasting medium
  • Lower maintenance requirements for your machines
  • Reduction in processing steps
  • Excellent value for money

Their fields of application

  • Aesthetic surface finishing
  • Cleaning of blasting materials
  • Removal of machining marks, residues and discolouration
  • Reshaping and straightening of workpieces

Zirshot®

The blasting medium for shot peening to achieve the highest dynamic component strengths

Zirshot® ceramic spheres are specifically developed to meet the highest demands of shot peening, surface finishing and peen forming. They are employed in the production and maintenance of heavily stressed components made of steel and aluminium alloys.

The very fine microstructure and the ceramic material properties make Zirshot® ceramic spheres extremely tough and resistant to breaking. Compared to glass or steel spheres, they are characterised by significantly lower consumption of blasting medium and energy.

Characteristics:

 Available sizes (mm)
 0.100 - 0.150 Z100
 0.150 - 0.210 Z150
 0.210 - 0.300 Z210
