Minerax successful trial at Kevitsa Mining Project

Saint-Gobain ZirPro has developed a specific product -Minerax- for the ultra-fine grinding applications in the mining industry. The first full scale HIGmill was installed at the Kevitsa Mining Project in Finland during 2015 using Minerax as a grinding media. This mill provides superior grind performance and cost efficient operations. Its effectiveness is due to a unique design which is further enhanced by the use of premier grinding media like Minerax.

After 6 months of operation, all initial targets for grind, energy consumption and mill wear have been fully realized. Minerax has performed exceptionally well with controlled wear profiles over extended periods. Minerax remains predominantly round, polished and within size; providing a consistent ‘working mix’ in the mill. Ultimately this ‘media control’ has a significant effect on the overall performance of the mill.
